Latest Muslim Outrage

Just off the "outrage" over the film Innocence of Muslims, the Religion of PeaceReligion of Intolerance is now rioting over an offensive photograph on Facebook.
Extremist Muslim rioters torched Buddhist communities in southeastern Bangladesh Sunday over an “offensive” photo on Facebook.

The rioting was ignited over a photo uploaded to the social networking site by a Buddhist man from the area that allegedly defamed the Qur'an, according to district administrator Joinul Bari.

Some 25,000 Muslims stormed a Buddhist hamlet in Ramu, torching centuries-old temples.

Once ablaze, the mob swept into villages outside the town, chanting “Allah is Great!,” leaving a trail of devastating in its wake. One witness told a reporter that 11 wooden temples were looted and destroyed, including two that were 300 years old. Shops were similarly attacked. In all, 15 Buddhist villages were attacked, and more than 100 homes were looted and damaged.

Buddhists comprise less than one percent of the population in 90-percent Muslim Bangladesh, where the rest of the populace is Hindu. Most Buddhists live close to the border near the Buddhist-majority nation of Myanmar. Public gatherings have been banned to prevent further violence, Bari told reporters.

Extremist Muslim violence worldwide resulted in some 40 deaths barely a month ago when an obscure, amateur anti-Islam video produced in the United States raised the ire of followers after a trailer of the film was translated into Arabic and posted to the Internet. The trailer, which was broadcast on Egyptian television, led to worldwide violence. It was also used as the excuse for an Al Qaeda-linked terror attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya that left a U.S. Ambassador and three American diplomats dead.

There is no end to Muslim outrage.  In fact this is a deliberately orchestrated action to force the West to remove their right of Free Speech.

There is only one outcome that can be done to stop these riots.  More pictures, more movies, more outrage.  Let these idiots riot all they want.  Our freedoms are too important to give up.  Let us offend these left overs from the Stone Age every day, hundreds of times a day.

Sukkot! Again!

I originally posted this in 2010 and since Sukkot starts tonight, I've gone lazy and decided to repost this instead of writing a new post.

***********************************************************************************
Feast of Tabernacles is once again here.  7 days of eating in a booth or tabernacle built by the family.

From Chabad:
For forty years, as our ancestors traversed the Sinai Desert prior to their entry into the Holy Land, miraculous "clouds of glory" surrounded and hovered over them, shielding them from the dangers and discomforts of the desert. Ever since, we remember G‑d's kindness and reaffirm our trust in His providence by dwelling in a sukkah – a hut of temporary construction with a roof-covering of branches – for the duration of the autumn Sukkot festival. For seven days and nights, we eat all our meals in the sukkah – reciting a special blessing – and otherwise regard it as our home.

Another mitzvah that is unique to Sukkot is the taking of the Four Kinds: an etrog (citron), a lulav (palm frond), at least three hadassim (myrtle branches) and two aravot (willow branches). The Midrash tells us that the Four Kinds represent the various types and personalities that comprise the community of Israel, whose intrinsic unity we emphasize on Sukkot.

On each day of the festival (except Shabbat), during the daytime hours, we take the Four Kinds, recite a blessing over them, bring them together in our hands and wave them in all six directions: right, left, forward, up, down and to the rear. (The Four Kinds are also an integral part of the holiday's daily morning service.)

Sukkot is also called The Time of Our Joy; indeed, a special joy pervades the festival. Nightly "Water-Drawing Celebrations," reminiscent of the evening-to-dawn festivities held in the Holy Temple in preparation for the drawing of water for use in the festival service, fill the synagogues and streets with song, music, and dance until the wee hours of the morning.

Sukkot runs from the fifteenth through the twenty-first of Tishrei. The first two days of this festival (in Israel only the first day) are a major holiday, when most forms of work are prohibited. On the preceding nights, women and girls light candles, reciting the appropriate blessings, and we enjoy nightly and daily festive meals, accompanied by the Kiddush.
Now imagine trying to explain the building of a sukkah to your landlord or local building authority. A hut with 4 wallsof cloth  and a roof with big holes in it. Could lead to some interesting civil discussions.

Or you have a father who cannot hammer 2 boards together, and yet insists on designing and building a sukkah (We've destroyed those pictures for the sake of family honor). Needless to say I learned some new words on those days.

I do love this holiday (one of 3 mandated in the bible).

So have a safe Sukkot! And remember that next year you can buy the pre-made Sukkah and avoid the embarrassment and laughter of your neighbors.

Latest Update on Eric Allen Bell

Gary Fouse

http://garyfouse.blogspot.com

Documentary filmmaker Eric Allen Bell, who has been wrongfully linked to the video, "The Innocence of Muslims", has received numerous death threats. As a result, he has been forced to go underground-in his own country. This is a disgusting turn of events.

Eric is going to need some funding to maintain his security. If you would like to help, go to www.ericallenbell.com.

STATUS UPDATE:  I have been moved to a safe house while the FBI investigates numerous death threats against me,  3 Pakistani newspapers wrongfully published that I was "the filmmaker" behind "The Innocence of Muslims".  An Islamic terrorist organization has ordered my death, and a bounty has been placed on my head. This rumor, associating me with the film, was intentionally planted by those who wish to silence me, after I published several articles, naming names and making connections between certain mosques, the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas.  I will not be silenced.  I may be physically in hiding, but I will continue to write these articles, use radio, and any and all media to expose the truth about Political Islam and those who try to advance this brand of tyranny in America.

"Defamation, er Incitement of Religions" is Knocking on Our Door

Hat tip Maggie's Notebook

Juice
Picture taken in New York City

Never mind that we have seen our ambassador to Libya and three other Americans brutally murdered. Never mind that our diplomatic missions in the Middle East (and Pakistan) have been attacked and our flag burned. In the eyes of the Islamic world, American leaders, and our own media, this is all America's fault. It is all because we-not they-are the intolerant ones because they continue to lay the blame on that stupid video. One of the unfortunate results of all this is the advancement of calls to criminalize any criticism of Islam. These voices, led by the 56-member Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), the largest voting bloc in the UN, seem to have found a friendly ally in Hillary Clinton, the Department of State, and, indeed, the administration.

Last night, there was a large gathering of Muslims in Dearborn, Michigan to protest against Islamophobia and the now-infamous video, "The Innocence of Muslims". It was reported by some sources beforehand that they would also call for such expressions to be made illegal. I am still trying to determine if any such calls were made.

Maggie's Notebook has an important piece updating us on the effort to strip Americans of their freedom of speech in the wake of this atrocity committed against us. From it, you can link to the December 2011 report issued by Hillary and her pals. The key word here is now "incitement" rather than "defamation". More on that distinction later.

http://www.maggiesnotebook.com/2012/09/hillary-clinton-invites-islamic-un-nations-to-discuss-intolerance-ours-not-theirs-clinton-position-on-benghazi-becomes-clearer/

My impression is that Mrs Clinton has been trying to hold her finger in the dike, so to speak, when it comes to maintaining freedom of speech. Her words definitely include protecting that freedom. Asst. Attorney General Thomas Perez, in his remarks, predictably,  painted the US as a place where prejudice and discrimination are the biggest problem and patted the DOJ on the back for fighting it-even though many of the examples were from  decades ago. He did not waste his time defending freedom of expression.

London

As for inserting the term, "incitement" in place of "defamation", this is not really much of a victory. In the US, the right of free speech stops when one incites a crime against another, for example, saying to a crowd, "Kill the (fill in the blank) and the crowd immediately proceeds to kill a fill in the blank.

But what about the case we are dealing with now? Someone says or publishes something that offends Muslims, and Muslims in another part of the world go out and commit mayhem. Incitement? Even if you say yes, think of the legal spaghetti we are inviting in this country. Put Christ in a jar of urine and nothing happens other than Christians complain because they are offended. Do the same with Muhammad and all Hell breaks loose. Discriminatory application of justice? What about those Friday prayers in the Middle East where some imam exhorts the crowd to "take action" against the infidels, and the audience rushes out and  kills a couple of infidels. Incitement? All day long (under our law at least), but who ever gets prosecuted for that in the Middle East?

And, in case you are not aware, the Justice Department has, indeed, taken video-maker Nakoula B. Nakoula into custody. He is now being held without bail on a probation violation for "using the Internet without permission" (a term of his probation). He has been labeled by the judge as a danger to society. The only one in danger is Nakoula.

Secretary Clinton may be trying to diplomatically tell the OIC that we are going to protect freedom of speech in the US while vigorously protecting the rights of religious minorities, but they are not going to be satisfied with that. They want any expression that criticizes Islam criminalized, and they using this latest controversy to advance that case even though it is we in the US who have been victimized. It is one thing to argue that Nakoula's video was offensive to Muslims (it was). It is another to prosecute him. Does anyone seriously think that had he made a film critical or satirical of Jews or Christians, he would be thrown back in jail for using the Internet in violation of his probation?

More importantly, in light of world events, are we eventually going to accede to demands that we shut down an honest discussion of the nature of Islamic terror, its own hatreds and sharia law as it would apply in the West? This need not be done in a spirit of hate or mockery, but who will draw the line and decide legally if it is hateful? Is it beyond the realm of imagination that those who speak out against the outrages occurring in the Islamic world, or question shariah law, or criticize an American Muslim leader for using hate speech himself  would be subject to having our taxes audited every year or be charged with spitting on the sidewalk?

Ask Nakoula B. Nakoula.

School Lunches: The Food Fight Heard 'Round The World

Stolen From Hat Tip to Faultline USA

Another great rant from  J. D. Longstreet

It would be laughable -- if our school kids weren't hungry!

By now, most everyone who pays attention,  is aware of how our government, Big Nanny, has screwed-up school lunches so badly that our kids either won't eat the stuff or, they DO eat it and -- remain hungry.

This is just more evidence of what happens when the government takes an active hand in "helping" Americans.

Once again, I repeat my plea to the UIS government:  "For God's sake -- stop helping us!"

ABC News reports the following:  "School lunch trays are a bit lighter this year after Congress-approved calorie limits on school lunches went into effect in August. The new regulations, which were championed by First Lady Michelle Obama as part of her "Let's Move" campaign to fight childhood obesity, have inspired protests and even a video parody from students who claim the reduced lunches are making them go hungry."  SOURCE:  http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/hungry-kids-grumble-healthy-school-lunches/story?id=17324285#.UGRYI66jg5vhttp://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/hungry-kids-grumble-healthy-school-lunches/story?id=17324285#.UGRYI66jg5v

When you actually consider what the government is insisting be served our growing kids, even a simple-minded idiot can see why the kids are hungry.

Consider this -- also for the same report at ABC News: "Under the new regulations, cafeterias are required to serve twice as many fruits and vegetables while limiting proteins and carbohydrates. For an average high school student, that means two baked fish nuggets, a cup of vegetables, half a cup of mashed potatoes, one whole grain roll and 8 ounces of fat free milk is the fuel that served to get them through their last four hours of classes."  SOURCE:  http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/OTUS/hungry-kids-grumble-healthy-school-lunches/story?id=17324285#.UGRYI66jg5v

Much, if not most, of what our school kids are being served in the school cafeterias is going straight from the food line to the garbage cans.  They are not eating it.  It is estimated that waste from school cafeterias has doubled since the new school lunch guidelines have taken effect.

So -- we wind up with hungry kids.  Kids who DO eat it are hungry.  Kids who DO NOT eat it are hungry.  That 750 to 850 calories is simply not enough calories for growing kids.  At best,  it is a subsistence diet... just enough to keep one alive and functioning.   School athletes are finding that "functioning" on the athletic field on that subsistence diet is near impossible.

This is a typical SNAFU of the US government -- and it was totally predictable. (These new guidelines were endorsed by First Lady Michelle Obama and the democrat Congress back in 2010)

"Our kids are obese,"  they cry!  Not so cussed fast here!  Have YOU taken a look at the government standards concerning who is obese and who is not?  You ought to do that before deciding you or your children are obese.  You MAY just learn that what the government defines as obese, may not jive, at all, with what YOU define as obese. Again, we are allowing the government into our lives  -- this time to decide who is fat and who is not fat.

Yeah, some of our kids ARE fat.  But allow me to inquire of the parents of those "fat" kids -- are they sitting on their butts playing video games, or, are they outside hooping and hollering and running around like the little hellions they are supposed to be?

Heck, Mom, had to nearly send out search parties to find my brother and me when it was time to come inside at dusk.  After dark, in the summer months, we'd be outside, with mason jars in hand, chasing lightening bugs. We were well-fed, and believe me, we were not obese.

Growing kids need fuel -- even "fat" growing kids.  If I had children in school these days, they would be packing those brown paper bags to school with the food I want them to eat.  (Hey, maybe it's time to bring back the old tin lunch boxes with Roy Rogers and Trigger on them, huh?)

What we have here, dear reader, is just more evidence of the over reaching of the federal government.  Soon, government agents will be entering our homes, unbidden, to check our pantry shelves for government approved foods and our medicine cabinets for government approved drugs -- and to be absolutely certain that birth control pills and the morning after pills are stocked in each and every family's medicine cabinet.  (Oh, they ALREADY have the authority to do that -- under the terms of Obamacare.  Now that the Democrats passed the bill, you can read it!)

But don't worry.  Things are going to get worse -- a LOT worse.

The food fight in our nation's school cafeteria is just an opening skirmish.  Wait 'til the really "BIG STUFF" hits the fan. In the not too distant future we are going to see irate Americans in the streets raising hell over the government's take-over of their lives.  But, I'm afraid it will be entirely too late.

Look.  Those of us out here in the conservative hinterlands have been shouting this was coming for years, even decades.  We were mocked and told to sit down and shut-up.  But don't worry, soon we will be FORCED to sit down and shut-up -- by the government.

The devolution of America into a third world communist dictatorship could have been avoided. But I am awfully afraid it is too late to stop it now. Even taking to the streets will be countered by government authorities.  (What do you think the government purchase of all that ammunition was about, anyway?  The government is prepared for angry Americans rioting in the streets.)

THIS food fight is going to get a whole lot bigger in the months and years ahead. If I lived in an American city today, I'd be, at the very least, planning a way to move my family out and as far into the country as possible.  Even folks living in the country are preparing, even now, to defend their property.  A close friend revealed to me recently that he is stocking up on ammunition every chance he gets, insuring that he has a personal inventory, at all times, of no less than 5,000 rounds.

The food face-off in our school cafeterias is a small thing, to be sure.  But a number of small things will inevitably lead to big things. If you doubt me, just wait 'til after noon on January 20th, 2013.  That date, that hour, will, I believe, mark the end of the American Republic.  At which point, all bets are off.

Biden Promises Florida Seniors To Shove A Tube Up Their Asses!

Joe Biden, star of the Senate and the one-liner is promising seniors in Florida to have flexible tube shoved up their backsides.
In Florida this afternoon, Vice President Joe Biden reminded supporters that thanks to President Obama, they could now get colonoscopies without a co-pay.

During his speech, Biden reminded the audience that some of their Republican friends would distort Obama’s record on Medicare.

“Everyone knows, everyone in this room knows that President Obama has increased the benefits available to people on Medicare by the action he took,” Biden said. “You are now able to go get a wellness exam, and guys, if you conclude you need a colonoscopy because of the feeling you had or you need a breast health examination, you don’t have to pay a co-pay for that.”

Biden made his remarks during a campaign event at the Century Village Clubhouse in Boca Raton, Fla.

While I am in favor of Colonscopies on a regular basis, I don't think you should remind seniors (or other voters) of what Obamacare and his other policies are doing to the American People.  I do hope that seniors (and other voters) remember the enema Obama is delivering to us on a daily basis.

The Indoctrination at Northeastern University

Gary Fouse

http://garyfouse.blogspot.com

Charles Jacobs and Americans for Peace and Tolerance have produced a 32-minute video that shows the indoctrination and anti-Semitism that has taken over classrooms at Boston's Northeastern University. This video is well worth watching. Some of the shots come from the school where I have taught part-time for 14 years, UC Irvine, which is also mentioned in the narration as a hotbed of anti-Israel and anti-Semitic activity. In addition, Norm Finkelstein, the oddball ex-professor mentioned in the video has also visited UCI at least three times. Twice I have seen him speak. That he should be trumpeted by a Northeastern professor is a joke.

http://www.shameonneu.com/

This is not the first time Northeastern University has been written about on this site.

http://garyfouse.blogspot.com/2012/04/holocaust-outrage-at-northeastern.html

I can attest to what the video is saying. While I have not visited Northeastern, I have seen the same nonsense at UC Irvine. It is not just at Northeastern, or UCI or UC Berkeley. This is going on all over North America.

Last Warnings From Israel

Yesterday Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu came to New York and spoke for over 30 minutes to the General Assembly of the United Nations.  In that talk he reminded the world that Jews have lived in the Land of Israel for over 3000 years, that Israel is known for its humanitarian works and that Iran IS building a nuclear weapon.  A weapon they won't hesitate to use on Israel, the US, and/or Europe.

Here is the transcript:
Thank you very much Mr. President. It's a pleasure to see the General Assembly presided by the Ambassador from Israel, and it's good to see all of you, distinguished delegates. Ladies and Gentlemen,

Three thousand years ago, King David reigned over the Jewish state in our eternal capital, Jerusalem. I say that to all those who proclaim that the Jewish state has no roots in our region and that it will soon disappear.

Throughout our history, the Jewish people have overcome all the tyrants who have sought our destruction. It's their ideologies that have been discarded by history.

The people of Israel live on. We say in Hebrew Am Yisrael Chai, and the Jewish state will live forever.

The Jewish people have lived in the land of Israel for thousands of years. Even after most of our people were exiled from it, Jews continued to live in the land of Israel throughout the ages. The masses of our people never gave up the dreamed of returning to our ancient homeland.

Defying the laws of history, we did just that. We ingathered the exiles, restored our independence and rebuilt our national life. The Jewish people have come home. We will never be uprooted again.

Yesterday was Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the Jewish year. Every year, for over three millennia, we have come together on this day of reflection and atonement. We take stock of our past. We pray for our future. We remember the sorrows of our persecution; we remember the great travails of our dispersion; we mourn the extermination of a third of our people, six million, in the Holocaust. But at the end of Yom Kippur, we celebrate.

We celebrate the rebirth of Israel. We celebrate the heroism of our young men and women who have defended our people with the indomitable courage of Joshua, David, and the Maccabees of old. We celebrate the marvel of the flourishing modern Jewish state.

In Israel, we walk the same paths tread by our patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. But we blaze new trails in science, technology, medicine, agriculture. In Israel, the past and the future find common ground.

Unfortunately, that is not the case in many other countries. For today, a great battle is being waged between the modern and the medieval.

The forces of modernity seek a bright future in which the rights of all are protected, in which an ever-expanding digital library is available in the palm of every child, in which every life is sacred.

The forces of medievalism seek a world in which women and minorities are subjugated, in which knowledge is suppressed, in which not life but death is glorified. These forces clash around the globe, but nowhere more starkly than in the Middle East.

Israel stands proudly with the forces of modernity. We protect the rights of all our citizens: men and women, Jews and Arabs, Muslims and Christians – all are equal before the law.

Israel is also making the world a better place: our scientists win Nobel Prizes. Our know-how is in every cell-phone and computer that you're using. We prevent hunger by irrigating arid lands in Africa and Asia.

Recently, I was deeply moved when I visited Technion, one of our technological institutes in Haifa, and I saw a man paralyzed from the waist down climb up a flight of stairs, quite easily, with the aid of an Israeli invention.

And Israel's exceptional creativity is matched by our people's remarkable compassion. When disaster strikes anywhere in the world – in Haiti, Japan, India, Turkey Indonesia and elsewhere – Israeli doctors are among the first on the scene, performing life-saving surgeries.

In the past year, I lost both my father and my father-in-law. In the same hospital wards where they were treated, Israeli doctors were treating Palestinian Arabs. In fact, every year, thousands of Arabs from the Palestinian territories and Arabs from throughout the Middle East come to Israel to be treated in Israeli hospitals by Israeli doctors.

I know you're not going to hear that from speakers around this podium, but that's the truth. It's important that you are aware of this truth. It’s because Israel cherishes life, that Israel cherishes peace and seeks peace.

We seek to preserve our historic ties and our historic peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan. We seek to forge a durable peace with the Palestinians.

President Abbas just spoke here. I say to him and I say to you:
We won't solve our conflict with libelous speeches at the UN. That's not the way to solve it. We won't solve our conflict with unilateral declarations of statehood.
We have to sit together, negotiate together, and reach a mutual compromise, in which a demilitarized Palestinian state recognizes the one and only Jewish State.

Israel wants to see a Middle East of progress and peace. We want to see the three great religions that sprang forth from our region – Judaism, Christianity and Islam – coexist in peace and in mutual respect.

Yet the medieval forces of radical Islam, whom you just saw storming the American embassies throughout the Middle East, they oppose this.

They seek supremacy over all Muslims. They are bent on world conquest. They want to destroy Israel, Europe, America. They want to extinguish freedom. They want to end the modern world.

Militant Islam has many branches – from the rulers of Iran with their Revolutionary Guards to Al Qaeda terrorists to the radical cells lurking in every part of the globe. But despite their differences, they are all rooted in the same bitter soil of intolerance. That intolerance is directed first at their fellow Muslims, and then to Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, secular people, anyone who doesn't submit to their unforgiving creed.

They want to drag humanity back to an age of unquestioning dogma and unrelenting conflict. I am sure of one thing. Ultimately they will fail. Ultimately, light will penetrate the darkness. We've seen that happen before.

Some five hundred years ago, the printing press helped pry a cloistered Europe out of a dark age. Eventually, ignorance gave way to enlightenment.

So too, a cloistered Middle East will eventually yield to the irresistible power of freedom and technology. When this happens, our region will be guided not by fanaticism and conspiracy, but by reason and curiosity.

I think the relevant question is this: it's not whether this fanaticism will be defeated. It's how many lives will be lost before it's defeated. We've seen that happen before too.

Some 70 years ago, the world saw another fanatic ideology bent on world conquest. It went down in flames. But not before it took millions of people with it. Those who opposed that fanaticism waited too long to act. In the end they triumphed, but at an horrific cost.

My friends, we cannot let that happen again.

At stake is not merely the future of my own country. At stake is the future of the world. Nothing could imperil our common future more than the arming of Iran with nuclear weapons.

To understand what the world would be like with a nuclear-armed Iran, just imagine the world with a nuclear-armed Al-Qaeda.

It makes no difference whether these lethal weapons are in the hands of the world's most dangerous terrorist regime or the world's most dangerous terrorist organization. They're both fired by the same hatred; they're both driven by the same lust for violence.

Just look at what the Iranian regime has done up till now, without nuclear weapons. In 2009, they brutally put down mass protests for democracy in their own country. Today, their henchmen are participating in the slaughter of tens of thousands of Syrian civilians, including thousands of children, directly participating in this murder.

They abetted the killing of American soldiers in Iraq and continue to do so in Afghanistan. Before that, Iranian proxies killed hundreds of American troops in Beirut and in Saudi Arabia. They've turned Lebanon and Gaza into terror strongholds, embedding nearly 100,000 missiles and rockets in civilian areas. Thousands of these rockets and missiles have already been fired at Israeli communities by their terrorist proxies.

In the last year, they've spread their international terror networks to two dozen countries across five continents – from India and Thailand to Kenya and Bulgaria. They've even plotted to blow up a restaurant a few blocks from the White House in order to kill a diplomat.

And of course, Iran's rulers repeatedly deny the Holocaust and call for Israel's destruction almost on a daily basis, as they did again this week from the United Nations.

So I ask you, given this record of Iranian aggression without nuclear weapons, just imagine Iranian aggression with nuclear weapons. Imagine their long range missiles tipped with nuclear warheads, their terror networks armed with atomic bombs. Who among you would feel safe in the Middle East? Who would be safe in Europe? Who would be safe in America? Who would be safe anywhere?

There are those who believe that a nuclear-armed Iran can be deterred like the Soviet Union. That's a very dangerous assumption. Militant Jihadists behave very differently from secular Marxists. There were no Soviet suicide bombers. Yet Iran produces hordes of them.

Deterrence worked with the Soviets, because every time the Soviets faced a choice between their ideology and their survival, they chose their survival. But deterrence may not work with the Iranians once they get nuclear weapons.

There's a great scholar of the Middle East, Prof. Bernard Lewis, who put it best. He said that for the Ayatollahs of Iran, mutually assured destruction is not a deterrent, it's an inducement. Iran's apocalyptic leaders believe that a medieval holy man will reappear in the wake of a devastating Holy War, thereby ensuring that their brand of radical Islam will rule the earth. That's not just what they believe. That's what is actually guiding their policies and their actions.

Just listen to Ayatollah Rafsanjani who said, I quote:
"The use of even one nuclear bomb inside Israel will destroy everything, however it would only harm the Islamic world."

Rafsanjani said: "It is not irrational to contemplate such an eventuality."
Not irrational… And that's coming from one of the so-called moderates of Iran.

Shockingly, some people have begun to peddle the absurd notion that a nuclear-armed Iran would actually stabilize the Middle East.

Yeah, right…That's like saying a nuclear-armed Al-Qaeda would usher in an era of universal peace.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I've been speaking about the need to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons for over 15 years. I spoke about it in my first term in office as Prime Minister, and then I spoke about it when I left office. I spoke about it when it was fashionable, and I spoke about it when it wasn't fashionable.

I speak about it now because the hour is getting late, very late. I speak about it now because the Iranian nuclear calendar doesn't take time out for anyone or for anything. I speak about it now because when it comes to the survival of my country, it's not only my right to speak; it's my duty to speak. And I believe that this is the duty of every responsible leader who wants to preserve world peace.

For nearly a decade, the international community has tried to stop the Iranian nuclear program with diplomacy.

That hasn't worked.

Iran uses diplomatic negotiations as a means to buy time to advance its nuclear program.

For over seven years, the international community has tried sanctions with Iran. Under the leadership of President Obama, the international community has passed some of the strongest sanctions to date.

I want to thank the governments represented here that have joined in this effort. It's had an effect. Oil exports have been curbed and the Iranian economy has been hit hard. It's had an effect on the economy, but we must face the truth. Sanctions have not stopped Iran's nuclear program either.

According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, during the last year alone, Iran has doubled the number of centrifuges in its underground nuclear facility in Qom.

At this late hour, there is only one way to peacefully prevent Iran from getting atomic bombs. That's by placing a clear red line on Iran's nuclear weapons program. Red lines don't lead to war; red lines prevent war.

Look at NATO's charter: it made clear that an attack on one member country would be considered an attack on all. NATO's red line helped keep the peace in Europe for nearly half a century.

President Kennedy set a red line during the Cuban Missile Crisis. That red line also prevented war and helped preserve the peace for decades.

In fact, it's the failure to place red lines that has often invited aggression.

If the Western powers had drawn clear red lines during the 1930s, I believe they would have stopped Nazi aggression and World War II might have been avoided. In 1990, if Saddam Hussein had been clearly told that his conquest of Kuwait would cross a red line, the first Gulf War might have been avoided.

Clear red lines have also worked with Iran.

Earlier this year, Iran threatened to close the Straits of Hormouz. The United States drew a clear red line and Iran backed off. Red lines could be drawn in different parts of Iran's nuclear weapons program. But to be credible, a red line must be drawn first and foremost in one vital part of their program: on Iran's efforts to enrich uranium. Now let me explain why:
Basically, any bomb consists of explosive material and a mechanism to ignite it. The simplest example is gunpowder and a fuse. That is, you light the fuse and set off the gunpowder.

In the case of Iran's plans to build a nuclear weapon, the gunpowder is enriched uranium. The fuse is a nuclear detonator.

For Iran, amassing enough enriched uranium is far more difficult than producing the nuclear fuse.
For a country like Iran, it takes many, many years to enrich uranium for a bomb. That requires thousands of centrifuges spinning in tandem in very big industrial plants. Those Iranian plants are visible and they're still vulnerable. In contrast, Iran could produce the nuclear detonator – the fuse – in a lot less time, maybe under a year, maybe only a few months. The detonator can be made in a small workshop the size of a classroom. It may be very difficult to find and target that workshop, especially in Iran. That's a country that's bigger than France, Germany, Italy and Britain combined. The same is true for the small facility in which they could assemble a warhead or a nuclear device that could be placed in a container ship. Chances are you won't find that facility either.

So in fact the only way that you can credibly prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, is to prevent Iran from amassing enough enriched uranium for a bomb. So, how much enriched uranium do you need for a bomb? And how close is Iran to getting it?

Let me show you. I brought a diagram for you. Here's the diagram.

**************
This is a bomb; this is a fuse.

In the case of Iran's nuclear plans to build a bomb, this bomb has to be filled with enough enriched uranium. And Iran has to go through three stages.

The first stage: they have to enrich enough of low enriched uranium.

The second stage: they have to enrich enough medium enriched uranium.

And the third stage and final stage: they have to enrich enough high enriched uranium for the first bomb.

Where's Iran? Iran's completed the first stage. It took them many years, but they completed it and they're 70% of the way there.

Now they are well into the second stage. By next spring, at most by next summer at current enrichment rates, they will have finished the medium enrichment and move on to the final stage.

From there, it's only a few months, possibly a few weeks before they get enough enriched uranium for the first bomb.

*****************
Ladies and Gentlemen,

What I told you now is not based on secret information. It's not based on military intelligence. It's based on public reports by the International Atomic Energy Agency. Anybody can read them. They're online.

So if these are the facts, and they are, where should the red line be drawn?

The red line should be drawn right here …………..

Before Iran completes the second stage of nuclear enrichment necessary to make a bomb. Before Iran gets to a point where it's a few months away or a few weeks away from amassing enough enriched uranium to make a nuclear weapon. Each day, that point is getting closer. That's why I speak today with such a sense of urgency. And that's why everyone should have a sense of urgency.

Some who claim that even if Iran completes the enrichment process, even if it crosses that red line that I just drew, our intelligence agencies will know when and where Iran will make the fuse, assemble the bomb, and prepare the warhead. Look, no one appreciates our intelligence agencies more than the Prime Minister of Israel. All these leading intelligence agencies are superb, including ours. They've foiled many attacks. They've saved many lives. But they are not foolproof.

For over two years, our intelligence agencies didn't know that Iran was building a huge nuclear enrichment plant under a mountain.

Do we want to risk the security of the world on the assumption that we would find in time a small workshop in a country half the size of Europe?

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The relevant question is not when Iran will get the bomb. The relevant question is at what stage can we no longer stop Iran from getting the bomb.

The red line must be drawn on Iran's nuclear enrichment program because these enrichment facilities are the only nuclear installations that we can definitely see and credibly target. I believe that faced with a clear red line, Iran will back down. This will give more time for sanctions and diplomacy to convince Iran to dismantle its nuclear weapons program altogether. Two days ago, from this podium, President Obama reiterated that the threat of a nuclear-armed Iran cannot be contained. I very much appreciate the President's position as does everyone in my country. We share the goal of stopping Iran's nuclear weapons program. This goal unites the people of Israel. It unites Americans, Democrats and Republicans alike and it is shared by important leaders throughout the world.

What I have said today will help ensure that this common goal is achieved. Israel is in discussions with the United States over this issue, and I am confident that we can chart a path forward together.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The clash between modernity and medievalism need not be a clash between progress and tradition. The traditions of the Jewish people go back thousands of years. They are the source of our collective values and the foundation of our national strength. At the same time, the Jewish people have always looked towards the future. Throughout history, we have been at the forefront of efforts to expand liberty, promote equality, and advance human rights. We champion these principles not despite of our traditions but because of them. We heed the words of the Jewish prophets Isaiah, Amos, and Jeremiah to treat all with dignity and compassion, to pursue justice and cherish life and to pray and strive for peace. These are the timeless values of my people and these are the Jewish people's greatest gift to mankind.

Let us commit ourselves today to defend these values so that we can defend our freedom and protect our common civilization.

Thank you.
Binyamin Netanyahu spoke the truth very well when he said this was a war between the forces of modernity vs. the forces of the medieval.  In other words, the forces of civilization vs barbarity.

We need to pray that civilization wins over barbarity or the world we should have, the world of freedom will be gone, possibly forever.

I am mystified why Obama won't meet with Netanyahu face to face, but pray that we remove Obama from office on November 6th and replace him with one who understands what is actually at stake.

The Libya Attack: Who Knew What-When?

Who's on First?

                                                  Ineptness or deliberate falsehood?

According to this latest report, apparently, the administration did, in fact, have information (and enough common sense) to know that the attack on the Benghazi consulate was a planned terror attack.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/09/27/us-officials-knew-libya-attack-was-terrorism-within-24-hours-sources-confirm/

However, this now raises more questions. If the administration knew within 24 hours that it was a planned terror attack, why did they keep telling the public for a week that it was a spontaneous protest that got out of hand due to that infamous video? If there was a Top Secret strategic reason involved, that might be understandable, but to tell the American public a tale they knew was false requires some serious explanation. They could have always said for a week that it was still under investigation and withheld comment. Instead, it now appears that we were lied to. If not, it points to a seriously inept administration.

* No, I am not implying the replacement refs were dishonest. They weren't that bad.

A National Treasure Is Gone

Born December 3, 1927 in Wall Lake, Iowa, Howard Andrew (Andy) Williams burst upon the world with a voice that President Ronald Reagan called "A National Treasure".  We lost this treasure yesterday after a year long battle with bladder cancer.
Clean-cut crooner Andy Williams, whose performance of "Moon River" became a pop music classic, has died at the age of 84.

"[Williams] passed away last night (Tuesday) at home in Branson, Missouri following a year long battle with bladder cancer," his rep said in a statement to FoxNews.com.

With an easy style and a mellow voice that President Ronald Reagan once termed "a national treasure," Williams proved ideal for television. "The Andy Williams Show," which lasted in various formats from 1957 to 1971, featured Williams alternately performing his stable of easy-listening ballads and bantering casually with his guest stars.

He received 18 gold and three platinum albums over his long career and was nominated for five Grammy awards. He released an autobiography in 2009, "Moon River and Me: A Memoir."

It was on his show that Williams -- who launched his own career as part of an all-brother quartet -- introduced the world to the original four singing Osmond Brothers of Utah. Their younger sibling Donny also made his debut on Williams' show, in 1963 when he was 6 years old.

Four decades later, the Osmonds and Williams would find themselves in close proximity again, sharing Williams' theater in Branson, Mo., during the 2003 season.

The singer's unflappable manner on television and in concert mirrored his offstage demeanor.

"I guess I've never really been aggressive, although almost everybody else in show business fights and gouges and knees to get where they want to be," he once said. "My trouble is, I'm not constructed temperamentally along those lines."

Williams' clean-cut persona, which made him a popular act in conservative Branson, also carried over into his personal life. He was connected with scandal only once -- indirectly -- when his ex-wife, former Las Vegas showgirl Claudine Longet, shot her lover, skiing champion Spider Sabich, to death in 1976. The Rolling Stones mocked the tragedy in the song "Claudine."

Longet, who said it was an accident, spent only a week in jail, and Williams provided support for her and their children, Noelle, Christian and Robert.

Born in Wall Lake, Iowa, on Dec. 3, 1927, Howard Andrew Williams began performing with his older brothers Dick, Bob and Don in the local Presbyterian church choir when he was 8. Their father, a postal worker, was the choirmaster.

Williams initially struggled as a solo act and was so broke at one point that he resorted to eating food intended for his two dogs.

"I had no money for food, so I ate it," he recalled in 2001, "and it actually was damned good."

A two-year TV stint on Steve Allen's "Tonight Show" and a contract with Cadence Records turned things around.

"The Andy Williams Show" followed, along with a host of gold albums and records. Among his hit records: "Canadian Sunset," "The Hawaiian Wedding Song," "Dear Heart," "Days of Wine and Roses," the theme from the movie "Love Story" and "Charade."

After leaving TV, Williams headed back on the road, where his many Christmas shows and albums made him a huge draw during the holidays. One year in Des Moines, however, a snowstorm kept the customers away, and the band's equipment failed to reach Chicago in time for the next night's show, forcing the musicians to borrow instruments from a high school band.

"No more tours," Williams decreed.

He decided to settle in Branson, the self-proclaimed "live entertainment capital of the country," with its dozens of theaters featuring live music, comedy and magic acts.

When he arrived in 1992, the town was dominated by country music performers, but Williams changed that, building the classy, $13 million Andy Williams Moon River Theater in the heart of the city's entertainment district and performing two shows a night, six days a week, nine months of the year. Only in recent years did he begin to cut back to one show a night.

Not surprisingly, his most popular time of the year was Christmas, although he acknowledged that not everyone in Hollywood accepted his move to the Midwest.

"The fact is most of my friends in L.A. still think I'm nuts for coming here," he told The Associated Press in 1998.

He and his second wife, the former Debbie Haas, divided their time between homes in Branson and Palm Springs, where he spent his leisure hours on the golf course when Branson's theaters were dark during the winter months following Christmas.

Retirement was not on his schedule. As he told the AP in 2001: "I'll keep going until I get to the point where I can't get out on stage."

He continued to perform even after announcing his bladder cancer diagnosis in 2011.

Williams is survived by his wife Debbie and his three children, Robert, Noelle and Christian.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network.

We have lost this treasure, but his music and voice lives on.

Yom Kippur

Also known as Instant Lent so the old joke went.  This holiday begins tonight and will end at sunset tomorrow.

Yom Kippur is the Holiest Day of the Jewish Year. From the Jewish Virtual Library:
Yom Kippur is probably the most important holiday of the Jewish year. Many Jews who do not observe any other Jewish custom will refrain from work, fast and/or attend synagogue services on this day. Yom Kippur occurs on the 10th day of Tishri. The holiday is instituted at Leviticus 23:26 et seq.

The name “Yom Kippur” means “Day of Atonement,” and that pretty much explains what the holiday is. It is a day set aside to “afflict the soul,” to atone for the sins of the past year. In Days of Awe, I mentioned the “books” in which G-d inscribes all of our names. On Yom Kippur, the judgment entered in these books is sealed. This day is, essentially, your last appeal, your last chance to change the judgment, to demonstrate your repentance and make amends.

Yom Kippur atones only for sins between man and G-d, not for sins against another person. To atone for sins against another person, you must first seek reconciliation with that person, righting the wrongs you committed against them if possible. That must all be done before Yom Kippur.

Yom Kippur is a complete Sabbath; no work can be performed on that day. It is well-known that you are supposed to refrain from eating and drinking (even water) on Yom Kippur. It is a complete, 25-hour fast beginning before sunset on the evening before Yom Kippur and ending after nightfall on the day of Yom Kippur. The Talmud also specifies additional restrictions that are less well-known: washing and bathing, anointing one's body (with cosmetics, deodorants, etc.), wearing leather shoes (Orthodox Jews routinely wear canvas sneakers under their dress clothes on Yom Kippur), and engaging in sexual relations are all prohibited on Yom Kippur.

As always, any of these restrictions can be lifted where a threat to life or health is involved. In fact, children under the age of nine and women in childbirth (from the time labor begins until three days after birth) are not permitted to fast, even if they want to. Older children and women from the third to the seventh day after childbirth are permitted to fast, but are permitted to break the fast if they feel the need to do so. People with other illnesses should consult a physician and a rabbi for advice.

Most of the holiday is spent in the synagogue, in prayer. In Orthodox synagogues, services begin early in the morning (8 or 9 AM) and continue until about 3 PM. People then usually go home for an afternoon nap and return around 5 or 6 PM for the afternoon and evening services, which continue until nightfall. The services end at nightfall, with the blowing of the tekiah gedolah, a long blast on the shofar

It is customary to wear white on the holiday, which symbolizes purity and calls to mind the promise that our sins shall be made as white as snow (Is. 1:18). Some people wear a kittel, the white robe in which the dead are buried.
The customs of Yom Kippur are:
In the course of Yom Kippur we will hold five prayer services: 1) Maariv, with its solemn Kol Nidrei service, on the eve of Yom Kippur; 2) Shacharit-the morning prayer; 3) Musaf, which includes a detailed account of the Yom Kippur Temple service; 4) Minchah, which includes the reading of the Book of Jonah.

Finally, in the waning hours of the day, we reach the climax of the day: the fifth prayer, the Neilah ("locking") prayer. The gates of heaven, which were open all day, will now be closed-with us on the inside. During this prayer we have the ability to access the most essential level of our soul. The Holy Ark remains open throughout. The closing Neilah service climaxes in the resounding cries of "Hear O Israel . . . G‑d is one." Then joy erupts in song and dance (a Chabad custom is to sing the lively "Napoleon's March"), followed by a single blast of the shofar, and the proclamation, "Next year in Jerusalem."

After the fast we partake of a festive after-fast meal, making the evening after Yom Kippur a yom tov (festival) in its own right. We immediately begin to look forward to the next holiday and its special mitzvah: the construction of the sukkah.
You can discover more about the customs and practices of Yom Kippur here.

May you have an easy fast.

Wednesday's hero: Capt. Jennifer Curtis

Capt. Jennifer Curtis

Capt. Jennifer Curtis

U.S. Air Force

In April 2011, Captain Jennifer Curtis received a short-notice deployment to Firebase Chamkani, Afghanistan, where she embedded with U.S. Army Special Forces to assist with village stability operations. Captain Curtis quickly realized that her deployment would be dangerous when she first arrived at the firebase located in the mountains on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan and her helicopter was targeted by mortar rounds. After being on the receiving end of more than 126 mortar rounds over the course of her deployment, Captain Curtis became accustomed to this hazardous way of life.

One night, the mortars hit her encampment. "Rockets were shot and landed right in the middle of our compound," she said. "There was a lot of shrapnel wounds. People were unconscious". Because the camp was on lockdown, Curtis was the only medic on the scene for the first 20 minutes of the attack. She didn’t have much time to think.

Rant From Texas Fred: Wake Up America!

Stolen From  Hat Tip to Texas Fred

My friend Texas Fred posted a great rant yesterday.  Here it is:
I received this in an email and thought it too good to just *forward*, so I am making it a post, that way it’s on the ‘net, my name is forever attached to it and the Obama regime knows it was ME that blasted them once again!

I have never heard this said as simply or as well; Class warfare at its best.

The folks who are getting the free stuff don’t like the folks who are paying for the free stuff, because the folks who are paying for the free stuff can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff. And, the folks who are paying for the free stuff want the free stuff to stop.

And the folks who are getting the free stuff want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!

Now … the people who are forcing the people who pay for the free stuff have told the people who are RECEIVING the free stuff that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff are being mean, prejudiced, and racist. So … the people who are GETTING the free stuff have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free stuff by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff and giving them the free stuff in the first place.

We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are now more people getting free stuff than paying for the free stuff.

Now understand this; all great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded. The reason being; the voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.

The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 236 years ago. The number of people now getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff. We have one chance to change that in 2012. Failure to change that spells the end of the United States as we know it.

ELECTION 2012 IS COMING

If you haven’t seen *2016: Obama’s America* here is your chance: Full Movie – 2016: Obama’s America and every American, from ALL Parties needs to see this powerful film!

And remember this: A nation of sheep breeds a government of wolves!

For all our sake PLEASE Take a Stand!!!

Obama: Gone!

Borders: Closed!

Language: English only
Culture: Constitution, and the Bill of Rights!

Drug Free: Mandatory Drug Screening before Welfare!

NO free stuff to Non-Citizens!

Will YOU share this post with others?

Here are a few other things:

1. Let’s get this straight; Islam is a FALSE religion, whose ‘prophet’ was a child rapist. Do you still want to defend Islam?

2. Hillary Clinton is an anti-American, just as much as is Barack Hussein Obama.

3. Obama is the lying son of a Muslim from Kenya and is a socialist.

4. Democrats are either delusional, just plain stupid or outright traitors.
I'm going to add this:
No Immigrant to receive any government assistance. If you wish to live here, then do it on your own 2 feet. No free housing, food stamps, welfare, free medical, etc… I will give legal immigrants free schooling for their children, but that is it.

Free schooling elementary thru high school IN ENGLISH!!! No special classes all in spanish–speak American English!!!
It is becoming very clear that if we lose this election the United States will no longer be a free nation.  We will be slaves to the government, not the government being a slave to the people.

It's Just Noise

Thus speaks President Barack Hussein Obama about the warnings Bibi Netanyahu has been giving the world about the speed of the Iranian nuclear program.
U.S. President Barack Obama on Sunday likened Israeli pressure on him to draw a clear “red line” over Iran's nuclear ambitions to "noise" he tries to ignore, AFP reports.

Interviewed for Sunday's edition of "60 Minutes" on broadcaster CBS, Obama said he understands and agrees with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's insistence that Iran not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons as this would threaten both countries, the world in general, and kick off an arms race.

At the same time, however, he added, “When it comes to our national security decisions – any pressure that I feel is simply to do what's right for the American people. And I am going to block out -- any noise that's out there.”

Obama then said, “Now I feel an obligation, not pressure but obligation, to make sure that we're in close consultation with the Israelis—on these issues. Because it affects them deeply. They're one of our closest allies in the region. And we’ve got an Iranian regime that has said horrible things that directly threaten Israel’s existence.”

The comments come after a rise in tensions between Obama and Netanyahu over Iran. Netanyahu has demanded that the U.S. set clear “red lines” that Iran cannot cross in its campaign to obtain nuclear weapons.

Obama rejected the idea of placing “red lines” for Iran during a phone conversation with Netanyahu two weeks ago, and received backing from Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, who said that red lines “are kind of political arguments that are used to try to put people in a corner.”

On Thursday, the United States sternly warned Iran that “time is running out” for its unsupervised nuclear program, in what may have been thinly-veiled support for Netanyahu’s “red line” demands.

"We will not engage in an endless process of negotiations that fail to produce any results. We must therefore remain clear and united in seeking resolution of the international community's concerns regarding Iran's nuclear program. Time is wasting," Ambassador Rice said told a United Nations Security Council meeting on nuclear sanctions against Iran.

She added, "Iran's approach remains to deny, to deceive and distract.”

Meanwhile, Obama's contender for the presidency, Republican Mitt Romney, said Obama’s behavior was no way to treat an ally.

The decision not to meet with Netanyahu on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, he said, also in an interview with "60 minutes", "is a mistake and sends a message throughout the Middle East that somehow we distance ourselves from our friends and I think the exact opposite approach is what's necessary."

A spokeswoman for Romney's campaign, Andrea Saul, argued that Obama's reference to Israel as "one of our closest allies in the region" was unacceptable. "This is just the latest evidence of his chronic disregard for the security of our closest ally in the Middle East," Saul said, according to AFP. "Romney strongly believes that Israel is our most important ally in the Middle East and ...as president, Governor Romney will restore and protect the close alliance between our nation and the state of Israel."

Barack Hussein Obama has time to be on Letterman, Visit with a doped up Pimp, visit with Whoopie Goldberg, but not to speak with Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Don't count Israel out.  But do count Obama out, especially after Israel destroys the Iranian nuclear sites.

‘The “Innocence Of Dogs” Causes Howls Of Protest; Obama Issues Apology

This is one for the record books.  I've stolen this one from Wolf Howling.  I hope you enjoy.
The recently released film, the "Innocence of Dogs," a virulently anti-dog film produced by Cats Uber Alles, a U.S. corporation owned by one Kitty Galore, has led dogs to violent world wide protests organized by the Islamadog Foundation. The protesters, who condemned the film as "blasphemy," called for "death to all four legged chew toys" and a global ban on insults to canines.

In response to this unrest, President Obama immediately had Kitty Galore called in for questioning by the FBI and asked Google to "review" whether the film should remain on line. In addition, he produced an advertisement wherein he apologized to dogs everywhere, stating that their protests were the "natural result" of the provocative film and adding that free speech in America must be exercised with restraint. Sec. of State Clinton also appeared in the ad, pointing out that the U.S. government does not in any way agree with the "disgraceful film." In an apparent gesture of goodwill, the President invited the head of the Islamadog Foundation, Mo bin-Barken, to "dinner at the White House," an invitation the foundation has declined pending clarification of whether the invitation is for bin-Barken to be a guest or a menu item.
What is the difference between Dogs and Muslims?  Dogs rioting over "The Innocence of Dogs" and Muslims rioting over "The Innocence of Muslims".  The dogs are angry, but are not human.  They don't know any better, they are controlled by instincts.  What are the excuses of Muslims?

With The Help Of The L-rd And Great Thanks

Pastor Yosef Nadarkhani has written to those who supported him in his trials and tribulations with the Iranian regime.  A short message, about 600 words, but filled with heart-filled thanks.

Salaam! (Peace be upon you!)

I glorify and give grace to the Lord with all my heart. I am grateful for all the blessings that He gave me during my whole life. I am especially grateful for His goodness and divine protection that characterized the time of my detention.

I also want to express my gratitude towards those who, all around the world, have worked for my cause, or should I say the cause that I defend. I want to express my gratitude to all of those who have supported me, openly or in complete secrecy . You are all very dear to my heart. May the Lord bless you and give you His perfect and sovereign Grace.

Indeed I have been put to the test, the test of faith which is, according to the Scriptures “more precious than perishable gold.” But I have never felt loneliness, I was all the time aware of the fact that it wasn’t a solitary battle, for I have felt all the energy and support of those who obeyed their conscience and fought for the promotion of the justice and the rights of all human beings. Thanks to these efforts, I have now the enormous joy to be by my wonderful wife and my children. I am grateful for these people through whom God has been working. All of this is very encouraging.

During that period, I had the opportunity to experience in a marvelous way the Scripture that says: “Indeed, as the sufferings of Christ abound for us, our encouragement abound through Christ.” He has comforted my family and has given them the means to face that difficult situation. In His Grace, He provided for their spiritual and material needs, taking away from me a heavy weight.

The Lord has wonderfully provided through the trial, allowing me to face the challenges that were in front of me. As the Scriptures says, “He will not allow us to be tested beyond our strength….”

Despite the fact that I have been found guilty of apostasy according to a certain reading of the Shar’ia, I am grateful that He gave the leaders of the country , the wisdom to break that judgment taking into account other facts of that same Shar’ia.It is obvious that the defenders of the Iranian right and the legal experts have made an important effort to enforce the law and the right. I want to thank those who have defended the right until the end.

I am happy to live in a time where we can take a critical and constructive look to the past. This has allowed the writing of universal texts aiming at the promotion of the rights of man. Today , we are debtors of these efforts provided by dear people who have worked for the respect of human dignity and have passed on to us these universal significant texts.

I am also debtor of those who have faithfully passed on the Word of God, that very Word who makes us heirs of God.

Before ending, I want to express a prayer for the establishment of an unending an universal peace, so that the will of the Father be done on earth as it is in heaven.Indeed, every thing passes, but the Word of God, source of all peace, will last eternally.

May the grace and mercy of God be multiplied to you. Amen!

Youcef Nadarkhani
8 September 2012
The L-rd moves in mysterious ways.  While many have been murdered for their faith by the Iranian regime, Pastor Nadarkhani is free to be with his sons and wife.  And the Iranians are still trying to destroy the faith of the sons (Age 7 and 9) by forcing the boys to study the Koran, their father has given them a greater lesson.  He was willing to die for his faith.  His 1062 days of imprisonment and torture is a greater witness for his faith than the words of that book based on hate and lies.

Not to us, LORD, not to us, but to Your Name be glory , for Your faithfulness, for Your loyalty

Terror Attack Prevented, Cost To Israel.... A Soldier's Life

Corporal Netanel Yahalomi gave his life so that others can live.  While giving aid to a group of migrants Corporal Yahalomi's unit was ambushed.
A heavily armed terrorist cell from the Sinai Peninsula opened fire on IDF soldiers on the Israeli - Egyptian border on Friday, killing one soldier and injuring a second, before the gunmen were killed in return fire. The IDF announced the name the 20-year-old victim, Netanel Yahalomi, and promoted him posthumously to the rank of corporal.

The IDF confirmed that the terrorists ambushed the group of IDF soldiers while they were providing water to African migrants who had arrived at the border trying to cross into Israel.

Shots were fired at IDF Artillery Corps and Karkal (Wildcat) battalion soldiers from a distance of 100 meters. One soldier sustained a bullet wound to the head and was killed immediately, IDF Spokesman Brig.-Gen. Yoav Mordechai said.

The soldiers instantly returned fire, shooting dead two terrorists. A group of Border Patrol undercover soldiers also responded to the incident, giving chase and killing the third, the Border Patrol stated.

In the heavy exchanges of fire, a suicide bomb belt around one of the terrorists went off. Shrapnel from that blast lightly injured a soldier from the Artillery Corps. He was taken to the Soroka Medical Center in Be'ersheba, where doctors operated on him.

"The IDF stopped a very big terrorist attack," Mordechai said. "The terrorists planned on going on a killing spree, either inside Israel or along the border," he added

IDF sappers recovered a large number of firearms and explosives from the terrorists after the incident, including and RPD machine gun, a rocket propelled grenade, Kalashnikov guns, ammunition, grenades, and personal equipment. The terrorists were dressed in civilian clothing.

The attack occurred along a 17 kilometer stretch of the border where the fence has not yet been completed, in the Har Harif area.

"We don't believe this was a kidnapping attempt. There are no terrorists in Israeli territory," Mordechai added.

OC Southern Command Maj.-Gen. Tal Russo arrived on the scene and inspected the area where fighting took place.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz held a special evaluation of the situation.

Security forces are now attempting to figure out whether the terrorists were Salafi jihadi elements from Sinai, or whether they originated from the Gaza Strip.

The Sinai Peninsula has become a hornet's nest of jihadi activity, and is also often used by Gaza terror elements to launch attacks on the southern Israeli border.

On Wednesday, three Palestinian terrorists were killed in an airstrike in Gaza. They were planning to carry out an imminent terror attack in Israel, and in the past had attempted to smuggle explosives out of Gaza and into Israel through Sinai. The terrorists belonged to the Hamas offshoot group Defenders of Al-Aqsa.

Last month, terrorists with explosives in Sinai murdered 16 Egyptian security personnel and tried to burst through the Israeli border with vehicles they hijacked from an Egyptian base. The IDF stemmed the attack and destroyed the hijacked vehicle, killing the terrorists.

In 2011, eight Israelis were murdered by a terror cell that crossed into Israel from Egypt's Sinai.

Corporal Yahalomi's family are observant Jews. They received the news of his death right before the Sabbath. Under Jewish Law one cannot mourn on the Sabbath. Can you imagine what they are going through?
The family of Corporal Netanel Yahalomi, who was killed in a terror attack on the Israel- Egypt border Friday afternoon, lives in the religious community of Nof Ayalon. The family members received the tragic news several hours before Shabbat, when the community rabbi and IDF representatives arrived at their house.

"Netanel was born in Bnei Brak, and then we moved to Nof Ayalon," said his father, Shmuel Yahalomi. "He was a Torah student at the Mitzpe Yeriho Yeshiva. "He insisted on serving in a combat unit and joined the Artillery Corps, where I also served."

The father added that Netanel used to study Torah even during his vacations.

Relatives and friends broke into tears as they entered the Yahalomi house on Friday afternoon. Netanel's sister, Avital, said: "He went to defend the State and land. That is what he fought and was killed for. He died so we could live here. It was not an unnecessary death. God will give us the power to cope."

Corporal Yahalomi was survived by his parents and five siblings. His family spoke of an uncompromising person who fought for justice. "He was a smart and successful guy, and helped everyone in whichever way he could."

His sister Avital noted that Netanel had refused to tell the family where he served. "It was important to him to keep it secret and he didn't want us to worry either."
