American Solutions Members Say Bankruptcy, Not Bailout for Big Three

In a recent poll at American Solutions the question was:
Bankruptcy or Bailout?

The Big Three were on Capitol Hill today (again) seeking a $34 billion bailout.

Since it's taxpayer money on the line (again), we wanted to get your thoughts on the proposed auto bailout.

What do you think is the best approach: bailout or bankruptcy? Or is there another option?

Vote in this poll and leave your comments below.
An overwhelming majority voted for Bankruptcy. Any wonder why? Under Bankruptcy the Big 3 would have to undergo major restructuring and revamping of their companies. Union contracts would have to be renegotiated and there would be lay offs. The executives would have to cut back on perks and bonuses. Their salaries would be cut and the Golden Parachutes would be gone.

Under the government bailout, the US government will be running these companies. Socialism has arrived with the new Auto Czar, and Free Enterprise is over.

With a vote of 91% in favor of bankruptcy and 9% in favor of a bailout, the voices of the American people was spoken. Unfortunately it is too late to do any good. Since the Congress is all set to bail them out.

I do believe though Newt Gingrich has said it best:

It's likely the Senate will vote on this compromise later in the week. We urge you to call your two Senators at 202-224-3121 and tell them your thoughts about the bailout.
