We Want An Army!

Yes, gentle truthseeker. That is now the new cry coming from the Palestinian Authority. We want an Army!

And guess who they want to pay for this army? I'll give you 3 guesses and the first 2 don't count.

The Palestinians want Israel to build them an army. An army in which they will use to destroy Israel. When I first read this report I had to check my calendar. I thought it was April 1st.

Palestinian Authority chief negotiator and former Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia has reportedly added a new demand to the long list being negotiated in final status talks with Israel: the PA, he says, will also require an army to defend the new Arab state.

A senior PA official confirmed that the issue was raised in talks at least a week ago, according to the Hebrew newspaper Yediot Aharonot. "At the meeting in question, we raised the demand for a regular army, meant to defend the independent state," a source clarified.

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni had initially thought Qureia was referring to a further enhanced form of the already existing PA security force, but was quickly enlightened.

The PA source elaborated, "This isn't an army intended to launch an attack against Israel. We are not asking for F-16 jets, but rather a force that would be able to defend the nation from threats and realize its basic right to exist in security."

Right they are not going to attack Israel. They just want to defend themselves from their enemies. Outside of Israel who are their enemies? Jordan? Do they really want the world to think that Jordan will attack them? Are we that naive? Wait don't answer that one yet, for Olmert would give them one if he could get away with it. And Barack Hussein Obama would sell them arms just to destroy Israel and take away this headache he gets thinking about Israel.

The PA, meanwhile, said the 1993 Oslo Accords were not necessarily relevant at this point. "Oslo spoke of an intermediary entity. Now we are talking about a [PA] state born out of a permanent agreement," said the source. "There is no clause in any of the understandings that denies the [PA] state an army with which to defend itself, to defend its borders and citizens."

All of the security concessions demanded of Israel, including those delineated in the American Roadmap plan, have been made on the basis of the Oslo Accords.

If the Oslo Accords are not relevant, then Israel doesn't have to follow them either. That means that Israel can take back Gaza (they never should have given it up). If Oslo isn't relevant now, was it ever relevant in the past. Or was Oslo just another excuse for the Palestinians to receive demands and not give peace in return. For since Oslo has been signed, there has been no peace.

They want an army because their Kassams aren't killing enough Israelis. There hasn't been enough Jews killed by the Palestinians to satisfy their blood lust. Even today there are mothers crying over their children.

One minute 24-year-old Avital Afjin was sitting with her baby daughter in the Kupat Holim Clalit medical clinic in Ashkelon's busy Chutzot Mall. The next moment, the world was a nightmare.

"I opened my eyes and saw only darkness," related the young mother as she described the aftermath of last week's Grad missile attack. Avital described how she managed to pull two-year-old Tair from the rubble of the clinic, covered in blood and looking "half human."

Both Avital and Tair suffered serious head wounds in the attack. They were air-lifted from Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon to Tel HaShomer Hospital in Tel Aviv, where doctors battled to save Tair's life.

Avital asks the public to pray for little Tair. She's only a baby, but is struggling for her very life. No child should have to struggle for life. She should have been able to live her life in peace and security, but instead she has to suffer from head wounds caused by Hamas. Hamas the murderers of innocent children.

The time has come for Israel to say to the Palestinians: NO! If you want an army, build it yourself. But if you attack us with this army you build we will wipe you off the face of the Earth.
