Here are just a few of the technological facts about Israel.
The world has been a better place because of these inventions. Not bad for a nation not even the size of New Jersey and without the monetary resources of many others.
Now how many modern inventions have been invented by any of the OPEC members with their vast monetary resources?

I don't think you're being entirely fair Findalis. The Arabs have after all managed to invent quite a few imaginative new ways to blow people up. And the OPEC Princes have also managed to invent quite a few new paradigms for million dollar shopping excursions to Europe.
Give credit where credit is do Findalis.

I might add that Israel has the bravest number of citizens per capita of any country. And -- as an avid follower of Hershel Shanks' "Biblical Archaeology Revue", I can attest to the fact that if it were not for Israeli scholarship and Israeli ongoing archaeological enterprises most of the treasures of the ancient Middle Eastern and biblical world would have been lost to us forever.

True Roger. The Palestinians would have robbed the place blind.
But OPEC didn't invent paradigms for million dollar shopping excursions to Europe. Nice Jewish women were doing that way before the Arabs ever did.
